Looking for a private guide at the Bernabeu, for groups or individuals? Then I’d be delighted to lead you through the Real Madrid stadium (the so-called Bernabeu Tour). I’m an official guide and offer this service to all kinds of visitors: from football-mad families (Real Madrid fans or not) to corporate groups looking to enhance their business trip, and tourists who simply don’t want to leave Madrid without seeing one of its most iconic landmarks.

What are my guided tours at the Santiago Bernabeu like?
On my guided tours at the Santiago Bernabeu, we explore the most special corners of this temple of football. Entering through the old Tower B, the tour takes us through the heart of the stadium, where the museum rooms are located, displaying all the trophies won by Real Madrid, as well as videos, photographs, and historical artifacts. The tour lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, although I can adapt to the needs of each group to make the tour shorter or longer.

Within that time, we’ll visit the rooms dedicated to:
- The history of the club
- The men’s football team
- The basketball team
- The women’s football team
- La Fábrica (the club’s youth academy)
- The Valdebebas training complex (Real Madrid City)
- The Real Madrid Foundation
During our tour together, I’ll explain everything we see, pausing at the most iconic relics in the club’s history. Of course, the Champions League trophies, but also the showcases with the League and Copa del Rey cups, the Ballon d’Or awards, the EuroLeague titles, and legendary jerseys.
I’ll also have time to explain the key features of the new stadium, designed by GMP Architects in collaboration with other engineering firms such as Ribas & Ribas and Sener. Three elements stand out as particularly spectacular:
- The retractable roof, which opens and closes depending on the weather.
- The metal shell, which functions as a true LED screen.
- The Hypogeo: a removable and maintainable pitch in an underground greenhouse.
This is the most significant renovation of this stadium, built on the ruins of the old Chamartín and inaugurated in 1947 by the president for whom it is named: Santiago Bernabéu, who had also been a player and coach of Real Madrid. Successive expansions brought about important changes to the stadium’s structure and capacity, reaching its current capacity of approximately 85,000 spectators.
Clarification regarding the works and events
As you may know, Real Madrid’s stadium began an ambitious renovation project in 2019. The vast majority of the work has now been completed, but there may be areas where work is still underway. This may mean that the tour route is modified or shortened due to technical reasons.
As of December 2025, the Bernabeu Tour had almost fully resumed its original route, including the dressing rooms, the tunnel leading to the pitch, and the benches, which had been excluded from the tour during the initial years of construction, potentially causing some disappointment among visitors. However, regardless of exceptional circumstances, everything is now accessible: the museum, trophy rooms, stands, tunnel, dressing rooms, and benches.
Exceptional situations that might cause changes include fairs, other sporting events, or even concerts, as the Hypogeo system allows the pitch to be removed from the turf and set a different surface for all kinds of events. If this happens, you won’t be able to see the turf or the goals, but you’ll see and understand the significant financial impact this new stadium is providing to Real Madrid.
And of course, another factor to consider is the matches: on days when Real Madrid plays at home, the Bernabeu Tour closes five hours before kickoff. Furthermore, access to the changing rooms, the tunnel, or the benches may be restricted. In return, you’ll have the opportunity to see the turf already installed, something that is done several days before the match to allow for proper acclimatization.
How to buy tickets and book my services
Buying tickets to access this stadium isn’t always easy: there are several options (classic tour, flexible tour, standard guided tour with club guides and other tourists). Each has its own price, and the cost can also vary depending on the date (weekend, holiday, weekday, etc.). You can find all the details on the club’s website.
Tickets for Individual Visitors
If you are a small group, for example, a couple or a family, you can purchase individual tickets. You can do this through the club’s website, but in my experience, you can also buy them on Civitatis, where the options are more limited but also more straightforward (basic tour from €35 for adults and €29 for children between 5 and 14 years old). You can check it out at this link.
I don’t need a ticket: as an official guide, I get in free, so you don’t have to buy anything for me.
If it’s more convenient for you, I can also buy your tickets. In that case, I would let you know the price and a payment method so that I can proceed with the purchase as soon as I receive the transfer. Regarding my fee, you can choose to pay it along with the tickets or at the end of the tour.
Group Tickets
If you are a medium or large group, guided tours at the Bernabeu must be booked differently: as a tour group. There is a specific availability for this: usually two tours per hour, to avoid bottlenecks on the tour route.
Group bookings must be made through an agency or an authorized official guide. This is my case: I would make the booking and payment for the tickets through the club’s supplier website. To do this, I would need to know the total number of participants and their ages to calculate the price. After that, I would provide you with a payment method, and as soon as I receive the corresponding transfer, I would proceed with the purchase. Regarding my fee, you can choose to pay it along with the tickets, by bank transfer a few days before, or in cash at the end of the tour.
My reasons to work as a private guide at the Bernabeu
I offer guided tours at the Bernabeu for two reasons: one professional and one personal. Professionally, I do it because I’m an official tour guide in Madrid, and it’s clear that this stadium is one of the major attractions of the Spanish capital, on par with the Prado Museum or the Royal Palace. In fact, it’s one of the most visited sites in the city, along with the two mentioned above and others like the Reina Sofía Museum.
I must clarify that I’m not a Real Madrid guide, but rather an official tourist guide, and I work not only at this stadium but also in other cities and monuments in and around Madrid. Adding to this my background as a journalist (with periods working in sports journalism for online and national newspapers), everything helps me to offer a comprehensive view of the stadium and Real Madrid, from a context that is not only sporting but also economic and social.
But on the other hand, being a private guide at the Bernabeu stadium also has an emotional component for me. Yes, I’m passionate about football (I’ve been a player, coach, and referee at the local level) and about Real Madrid since I was born. But I also come from a Real Madrid family (except for my father, who supported Rayo Vallecano). My mother’s life story, in particular, is closely linked to the stadium, since she was born just 300 meters away, occasionally worked on its upkeep, and, above all, connected her childhood to the club’s successes: when she was five years old, she would go to the stadium gates on match days to offer sips of water from clay jugs in exchange for a few coins. Something that, in fact, a former club president, Lorenzo Sanz, also did, and it was a way to earn a modest income in that post-war Madrid where the Santiago Bernabeu (then called Nuevo Chamartín) was already a true icon.
So, for me, providing guided tours at the Bernabeu is like continuing a personal, family, and professional tradition that connects me to my roots and helps me grow as a guide. That’s why a tour with you would be another step in that direction. Thank you for taking the time to read this page, and if you contact me, I’d be happy to let you know my rates and other details about the service.
